Presentation Evening 2016

Over 100 students returned to school to collect their GCSE Certificates at the annual Presentation Evening on Thursday 24th November 2106.
Pictured is Mr James Gardner (ex Head of House at the school and currently a member of the Senior team at the JCB Academy),who presented the awards and addressed the large gathering of ex-students and parents.
With him are the students who achieved the Outstanding Attainment award for their GCSE results, Robert Truman, Elliot Bolt, Rosina Poller, Zoe Kempson and Nicole Bartlett.
In his address Mr Gardner congratulated the school and the students on the best ever set of GCSE results. He told of his long held ambition, as an international power lifter, to lift the Dinnie Stones (http://www.thedinniestones.com/). This year he achieved this ambition. He said this took great dedication, planning, focus and hard work to achieve this ambition. He likened this experience to the journey the students were now beginning. With hard work and a clear goal, most ambitions can be achieved.

Headteacher, Mr Simon Turney, in his closing address, once again congratulated the students on achieving the best ever results in the school history. He said that this was particularly impressive when following a year group which had also achieved the best ever results. He praised the work ethic and dedication of all the students to achieve their own personal success and wished them all well for the future.
