Examination and Performance data 2015
Y11 GCSE results this Summer show that our students have achieved the Academy's best results ever, improving on the previous record from 2013.
With 54% of students achieving at least 5 A*to C grades, including English and Mathematics, the Academy has once again proved that a combination of good teaching, good discipline and high levels of aspiration from both staff and students leads to success.
Whilst other schools have reported concerns over their maths results our pass rate in maths was also higher than ever before with 70% of the year group achieving A*to C grades.
With over 61% of the year group also passing English, and many other subjects generating exceptional results, confidence in the school's ability to provide high quality education is at its highest level.
Of particular note were Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Education, Polish, Drama, Dance, Music, Construction, Engineering and Public Services all achieving 100% A*toC success rates with Spanish and Physical Education over 90%.
In terms of individual students Kate Rowntree, 7A*'s and 2A's, Elise Kane, 6A*'s and 3A's, Daniel Meer, 5A*'s, and 4A's and Sian Parker, 3A*'s and 6A's all achieved outstanding results.
That said, almost all of the students can take great pride in their in their achievements and I would like to thank both staff and students for their commitment and hard work. Well done to all!
